Antonio Rudiger is set to become one of the world’s highest-paid defenders and the European official is set to leave Chelsea next summer for four times his current salary.

Antonio Rudiger has emerged as a key figure under Thomas Tuchel, but his future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain as he enters the final six months of his contract.

It looks like the German defender will leave Chelsea next summer with a free transfer, when he becomes available for free.

And top European clubs listed to make an official offer to Rudiger from January 1, include Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Juventus.

If Rudiger leaves the Premier League in 2022, he is expected to do so as one of the highest-paid defenders in football history.

The 28-year-old currently earns £100,000 a week at Chelsea, but he has a chance to improve next season.

Juventus midfielder Matthijs de Ligt is reportedly the world’s highest paid defender, earning £400,000 a week including all extras.

But SportsMail understands that Rudiger’s next contract, if he leaves Chelsea, will deal with a major Dutch international contract after all financial aspects are done.
